94, 64 and 92 route and timetable changes Monday 14th August
Moffat and Williamson take over the 94/94A and all these services get a route and timetable makeover
As predicted the 94/94A will no longer visit St Andrews Bus Station. Instead its main interchange stop will be the stop in Petheram Bridge Car Park along the footpath from Stance 5. The timetable also changes, with gaps in the evening to allow a driver rest break - and express running between Cupar and St Andrews for some of the evening services. Full details of the new timetable are at: https://moffat-williamson.co.uk/timetable/service-94
The 64 route and timetable is undergoing major changes. Alternate hours will follow different routes with some buses being renumbered as “64A” - departures and arrivals in St Andrews will vary from hour to hour. This is a return to something like a version of this route we had some years ago where if the bus enters St Andrews via the Community Hospital then it departs via Hepburn Gardens and the bus about an hour later arrives via Hepburn Gardens and departs via the Community Hospital. If you are travelling between Crail and Cupar changing to the 64 at the Community Hospital no longer makes sense and you are better changing to an X24 at St Andrews Bus Station most of the time. And again there are gaps in the evening timetable allowing for driver rest breaks. For the new 64 timetable see: https://moffat-williamson.co.uk/timetable/service-64
At the same time the other longish distance Moffat & Williamson route through St Andrews, the 92, is undergoing an opposite change, where different routes on alternate hours are being simplified into roughly the same route every hour - and this bus no longer goes via the Community Hospital. For the new 92 timetable see: https://moffat-williamson.co.uk/timetable/service-92
Beware that not all these timetable updates are yet in Traveline Scotland or on bustimes.org so until these issues are resolved you are better working out your travel plans using Moffat & Williamson online timetables.
Moffat & Williamson are getting better at showing their buses on the live bus map from bustimes.org so that may be a useful tool.

94 and 94A buses from Moffat & Williamson don't appear to be broadcasting their position - and Traveline Scotland & Bustimes.org have NOT been updated with the new timetable and operator details - so you need to check the timetable on the Moffat & Williamson website. Also beware Lammas Market diversions in St Andrews - it's best to use the Petheram Bridge Car Park stop to catch this bus...
Yes, there used to be a nice simple connection between the 64 and the 68 connecting St Andrews Hospital and the Adamson Hospital in Cupar with only 5 or 6 minutes to wait at the same stop in Cupar - with the new timetables you might need to wait up to half-an-hour and might have to walk between stops at the opposite sides of Crossgate..
