Go-Flexi the on-demand rural bus service that operates in North East Fife has recently moved into the 21st century by launching an “App” for Apple and Android phones that allows you to book journeys.
There are more details of the service on the Fife Council website at: http://go-flexi.org
You can download the relevant App for your device at: https://link.eastne.uk/goflexi
The Go-Flexi bus is designed to fill in the gaps in those parts of the county not served by normal buses. Rather than having fixed routes and times it responds to requests from customers, picking up people with similar journeys and times.
Fares are similar to normal bus fares and you can use the over-60 and under-22 Scottish Concessionary Bus Passes.
You can book single journeys, returns and repeat journeys using the App for yourself and up to 9 other people at the same time.
The F4 Zone covers Crail and allows travel to places like the Secret Bunker or Kellie Castle:
When you use the App to book a journey you suggest either a departure time or an arrival time and then the App will come back with a prediction for the times when the bus will actually arrive at the pick-up and drop-off points.
You then have to “Accept” or “Decline” the proposed journey times before the Booking expires:
If you don’t like using Apps you can always go back to the original method and phone Moffat & Williamson on 01382 540 624 to book your bus.
